The student resource Le Canada et ses partenaires commerciaux is divided in two sections. Section I identifies the connections between Canada and the world: trade, culture, technology, tourism and international organizations. Section II deals with our relationship with the United-States, our main commercial partner. The resource also looks at the relationship between Canada and Japan. Critical thinking activities focusing on current issues are included in both sections. Students consult traditional reference materials and the Internet for research. Guidelines for using the Web efficiently and safely are included. The proposed Web sites update statistics and other data. Chapters and headings are organised for easy and effective note-taking. Each chapter contains questions that allow students to develop their skills and provides guidance on conducting research. The focus of the resource is mainly on Canada’s contributions in other countries.
