The teaching approach, which includes accessing and processing information, builds on the students’ learning ability. Clear summaries, which include visuals and graphic organizers, allow students to remember what is most important and to connect to prior learning. A bank of skills and strategies and higher level thinking activities help students to “learn how to learn”. Questions and activities address the Grade 7 outcomes and are compatible with the Ontario Achievement Levels.
